NOVEMBER 16, 2024 @UNECA at 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The Diplomatic Charity Bazaar is an annual event that unites local and international communities
in their efforts to raise funds for charitable activities in Ethiopia and it attracts thousands of visitors. Organized by the Diplomatic Spouses Group Ethiopia (DSGE) in cooperation with Prologue, the Bazaar showcases diverse cultures while promoting solidarity with Ethiopia’s vulnerable populations.

The Bazaar is a fun day for the whole family in a safe and secluded space. Whether you are Ethiopian, Expat or just on a visit, and whether you want to enjoy some traditional food and drinks from all over the world, do your Christmas shopping, get inspired by upcoming Ethiopian business initiatives, or just meet with friends, enjoy live performances, and have your kids have a blast, it’s the right place for you.
The event features large tents with embassies selling traditional handicrafts, artwork, clothing, food, drinks, and more, and NGOs promoting their organizations and selling their products.

There is a large food and drink court equipped by some of the Bazaar’s sponsors with plenty of space to sit down and enjoy the entertainment, and to chat with friends, and embassies selling food and drinks from all over the world. Performances such as traditional dances and live music further enrich the atmosphere.

Mulu Village – Sustainably and Socially Yours promotes local, sustainable products and social enterprises. And children get to have fun in the Kids Area with plenty of entertainment.
All proceeds from the Bazaar support local organizations in health, education, and poverty alleviation, as well as empowering women, children and differently abled.

Months of preparations go into organizing the Bazaar with diplomatic missions, NGOs, sponsors and volunteers all working together. As one of Ethiopia’s most anticipated charitable events, the Diplomatic Charity Bazaar is a powerful symbol of global cooperation and generosity, making a lasting impact on those in need.
