Relaxation massage is a smooth, gentle, flowing style of massage that promotes general relaxation, relieves muscular tension, plus improves circulation and range of movement. Swedish massage is probably the best known form of relaxation massage. 

These are the basic types of massage you will find performed at day spas. Massage is designed to relax, revive and rejuvenate you at a depth of touch that does not cause discomfort. 

While relaxation massage is wonderful, it is less effective than deeper massage techniques for changing soft tissue tension.  Choose a deeper technique when you are suffering from aches and pains and leave the relaxation massage for when you just want to…. Relax!
