Working with our Ride the Rift colleagues in partnership with Oromia Tourism to explore the Rift Valley around lakes Langano, Shala & Abijata. Some great outdoor adventures are in the making.
The adventure biking potentials of Oromia are drawing attention as a group of foreign bikers and adventure tour operators explore parts of Western Arsi on their bikes. Cycling along the coast of the beautiful lake Langano, the group discovers how the rugged and diverse landscapes that characterize the Great Rift Valley hold some of the best adventure biking routes anywhere.
So far, the group has biked through the beautiful forest of Ganbo in Lepis ending at the Bishan Gari lodge by Langano. The group also biked through villages on the southern side of the lake ending at a geothermally active area.
The biking continues, and more biking adventure is expected across Oromia as the wildly diverse land formation is sure to appeal to enthusiasts.
