What makes DOK feel like a favorite little neighborhood restaurant. And it’s in the middle of Bole Medhanialem Church and Yogo church, not in a residential neighborhood. Yet once you take a seat outside or inside, the place feels genuinely cozy. Better yet, the warm welcome at the door and the service by experienced people who embrace hospitality makes you feel happily at home. DOK has become one of my go-to places when I want to entertain people in a homey -best ambiance with good food, dependable service, fine Italian wines—and at moderate prices. It’s consistent, and there are few places that can make that claim in our local restaurant scene.
The menu offers familiar Italian food (choices include lasagna, gnocchi, cotoletta di pollo, carbonara and different kinds of pizza) offering a variety of options as well as local wines and cocktails. You can enjoy house-made focaccia and a crispy pita bread with spiced olive oil and green hot sauce while you’re perusing the extensive menu.
The Dok Restaurant will open soon another branch at the old Top View location and What’s Out wish them the Best of Luck for the rest of the year.
