In this work, Shibabaw envisions night skies within three lunar fields teeming with fluorescent constellations of swarming insects, shooting stars and interlaced tree branches. This multi-sensory installation, illuminated by blacklighting and Beethoven’s music playing softly in the background is a part of “Breaking the Frame: Women Artists in the Harn Collections.” In addition to many solo and group shows in Ethiopia, she also participated in several group exhibitions around the world like at the Harn Museum of Arts, USA (2007), as well as in China and France.
