Digital Marketer/Graphic Designer

Rahel is a highly skilled graphic designer and digital marketer. With her extensive training and expertise in marketing management, she brings a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking to her work. Rahel’s natural talent for graphic design allows her to create visually stunning and compelling designs that captivate the target audience. Her deep understanding of consumer behavior and trends ensures that her designs align with the expectations of the readers.

Developer

Samira is a UI/UX developer with a passion for crafting seamless online experiences. She is a digital maestro armed with extensive expertise in major CMS systems like Drupal, Joomla, and WordPress. Samira enjoys keeping up with the latest trends in design and has mastered the art of creating websites that don’t just look good, but drive traffic and conversions like a well-oiled machine.

Creative Collaborator

Sarah has a diverse background wearing many hats over the years as a native English speaker and organizer, including being a founder member of What’s Up, the forerunner of What’s Out Addis. After a break of some years, she’s delighted to join today’s team to continue showcasing Addis Ababa as a pulsating, vibrant city full of energetic and interesting people creating exciting and inspiring events, activities, restaurants and galleries.

Managing Director

Rahel’s role as a founding member of What’s Up, the precursor to What’s Out Addis, has been invaluable. She is a dedicated team member who plays a pivotal role in setting editorial policies, conducting article research, and overseeing the department budget. Additionally, Rahel serves as the public face of the magazine, liaising with advertisers and event organizers. Her commitment and diverse skill set greatly contribute to the success of What’s Out Addis.

Senior Contributor

Arabella is originally from the UK but grew up in Ethiopia as a child. She enjoyed a media career in the UK and USA (magazines, newspapers, and television) before returning to Ethiopia to devise and manage two social projects. Arabella has been writing and editing for What’s Out Addis since 2013 and particularly enjoys researching and writing about off-the-beaten-track places and unsung Ethiopian “heroes”.

Yasser is a Renaissance man of many skills and talents with boundless energy and enthusiasm.

Yasser is creative yet extremely  practical imagination, exceptional discipline and demonstrable high business acumen. He is affable, engaging, and kind, and can be delightfully playful when appropriate. he is happiest when engaged in enterprises where all benefit, especially those in need. He is constitutionally modest and in essence an artist. Yasser Bagersh is an archetype of the Entrepreneurial mind. Always moving forward, never satisfied, and exploring new possibilities
