Entoto National Park – A Great Local Day Out

There are five entrances to Entoto Park. Which entrance is the most convenient and why?

1. VIP Entrance (Sululta Rd): This gate is only available to VIP visitors to Entoto Park such as higher-ranking government officials, diplomats, and other VIPs, as indicated by the Entoto Park administration.

2. Sululta Entrance: This is the next entrance also located on Sululta Road. Visitors should use the Piazza – Addisu Gebia – Dilber route to reach the Entoto Customs area. Then turn right and proceed about 2 kilometers to the parking lot on the left and the Sululita Entrance across the road on the right side. You will need to walk a short distance along a paved path after you enter the park and after you show your ID to the guards – about 1 kilometer. Sululta gate provides easy access to various cafes as well as two Kuriftu restaurants and their stables with horse riding.

3. Addisu Gebiya Entrance: This is the shortest distance entrance in Entoto Park compared to the other gates. This gate is close to Kategna and Mama’s Kitchen restaurants. Entoto Park’s Kuriftu Entertainment activities are also conveniently located near the Addiu Gebya entrance.

4. May Ber Entrance: Green Gold Coffee and Fresh Corner are just a short walk from the May Ber Entrance. This gate also has the May Telescope View. This is the nearest entrance if you are coming from Siddist Kilo/Shira Meda area. Parking outside costs 30 etb.

Although you can reach the other entertainment places and eateries on foot be advised that you will need to walk a significant distance.

5. Shiro Meda Entrance: Entoto Park’s Shiro Meda Entrance is the park’s final entrance. You will have two options after passing through this gate: May Entrance or Addisu Gebya Entrance. A long walk route leads to this entryway.
