Shashemene Vegan: A Plant-based Guide

Co-authors, Janelle Hoilett and Anne Marie Stampley, are proud to announce the debut of Shashemene Vegan: A Plant-based Guide to African Repatriation Vol. 4 Pulses and Proteins.  The newest release of a six-part community recipe collection and how-to guide from Ethiopia’s most documented resettlement community coincides with the 125th Anniversary of the Battle of Adwa and will be available on Amazon and www.shashemenevegan.com, March 2, 2021.  Shashemene Vegan, an E-cookbook Series about Plant-based Eating in Africa, provides an insider’s look about how one community in Ethiopia is reconnecting to their African roots. 

Hoilett, of Jamaican descent, and Stampley, a Mexican-American, have themselves returned to live in Ethiopia and hope to nourish the Ethiopian people with unique fasting recipes honoring the great cultural exchange happening in Shashemene, Ethiopia.  In addition, dashes of historical, colloquial, and cultural nuances are included to add flavor to the entire journey.  As a great story for Ethiopia, Hoilett and Stampley are seeking coverage of this book’s release and to introduce the Shashemene Vegan brand through all major media outlets.
