The Ministry of Education has announced a school meals project that will benefit more than 163,000 students. The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Save the Children, has unveiled a project that will benefit 500 schools in five regions.
The state minister of education Million Mathewos said that project will help ensure that children do not miss school and focus on their education.
The director of Save the Children Ethiopia, Ekin Ogutogulari, said that this will continue to be one of the focus areas of the organization. Emphasizing that school feeding is a priority area of the Save the Children, he also stated that the project is intended to support students vulnerable to natural and other circumstances. State Minister at the Ministry of Education, Million Matewos said the project will have paramount importance in addressing school drop outs and other challenges in the teaching learning sphere.
Global Partnership for Education has donated 24 million four hundred thousand dollars.
