Ethiopia To Embark On Digital Learning From 9 To 12 Grades

The Ministry of Education has announced a plan to embark on digital learning at secondary school level from grades 9-12.
The digital learning method is considered crucial to enable the government to cut costs in purchasing large amounts of paper for printing purposes.
Realizing this new digital way forward will enable students to easily adapt themselves with mushrooming technological innovations and advancement. The teaching mechanism to be supported with the digital technology will enable the government to realize a quality education and address issues related to lack of fair access and accountability in the sector.
The ministry said that it has been exerting efforts to fulfill ample amounts of tablet computers for the commencement of the digital education system.
